LOTTIE CONSALVO, EMMA FIELDEN and LOCUST JONES Delmar Gallery group show ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’

November 15, 2019

Lottie Consalvo, Emma Fielden and Locust Jones feature in Delmar Gallery’s upcoming exhibition ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ curated by Catherine Benz. Opening on Tuesday 24 November, the exhibition brings together the new and the very old, featuring works by 30 contemporary artists set in dialogue with curious geological specimens and ancient artefacts.

‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ takes the materials and dynamics of the children’s game as the launching pad for excursions into matter, deep time, conflict and memory. Fielden’s crushed ferrite magnet work ‘Orb’ will sit alongside Locust Jones’ monumental paper scroll work ‘Green Light in the Age of Extinction’ and Lottie Consalvo’s sculpture and painting. The show will continue until 8 December.

Emma Fielden, 'Orb’, 2017, hand crushed ferrite magnets, iron oxide pigment, rare earth magnets, linen thread, main form approximately 14 x 14 x 14 cm.
