GARY DEIRMENDJIAN intervention at Pier 8

Deirmendjian pays tribute to the Pier 8 Cafe floor through a luminous foil intervention, telling the “epoch story of human friction, clearly told by every gouge, scar and wear” in the wooden surface. A stream of gold and silver, this temporary work draws attention to the former wharf complex shortly before the floor is ‘revitalised’.
