Clemens Krauss protests Bauhaus

November 2, 2018

With the 100 year anniversary of the founding of the Bauhaus approaching, a celebratory concert has been threatened by right-wing demonstrators. In response to this, the Bauhaus have cancelled the concert of the politically left band ‘Feine Sahne Fischfilet’. In protest, Berlin-based artist Clemens Krauss has called for the removal of his works from the the upcoming Bauhaus Dessau exhibition. Krauss’ defence of artistic freedom has caused a stir in the German art community, highlighting how political divisions still affect major European institutions.
