Nike Savvas’ ‘The Oarsman’ part of Mustafa Hulusi’s poster project

Nike Savvas’ recent collaboration with artist Mustafa Hulusi involved her work ‘The Oarsman’ appearing on an advertising panel in Hoxton Square, London, as part of his ongoing poster project. Nike’s vibrant work, positioned in this unexpected context, raises questions about the role of institutions in the art world, contributing to one of Hulusi’s signature guerrilla campaigns in which he plasters London neighbourhoods with leaflets, posters, and large-scale works. On another note, Nike will be exhibiting new work in her upcoming solo show at DMG in October 2019.
