NIKE SAVVAS ‘Curiouser & Curiouser’ exhibition at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery

Nike Savvas’s ‘Sliding Ladder’ series will feature in the upcoming ‘Curiouser & Curiouser’ exhibition at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery. The exhibition opens next Friday 14 December at 6PM and features a selection of work by some of Australia’s most “innovative, creative and colourful artists.”

Taking inspiration from the passages of Lewis Caroll’s ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,’ the works in this exhibition engage with playfulness, colour, myth, wonder, humour, bewilderment and dream-like imagery. Nike Savvas will exhibit a series of geometric sculptures crafted from wood, vibrantly-coloured wool and stainless steel. These objects present captivating prisms and optical illusions through the mathematical precision of her threads. The exhibition will continue until 10 February 2019.
