LOTTIE CONSALVO  ‘Of The Sun’ group show at Goulburn Regional Art Gallery

November 1, 2019

Lottie Consalvo’s work will be featured in the upcoming group exhibition ‘Of The Sun’ at Goulburn Regional Art Gallery. Curated by Gina Mobayed, the show contemplates our relationship to earth’s natural elements and the role they can play in our personal journeys. This rings true in Lottie’s recent works, including ‘Untitled Seas’ and ‘Like A Bell Under Water’, which draw parallels between distant parts of the self and the myth of the sea.

Please join the exhibition opening on Friday 6 December 2019 at 6PM to celebrate the work of seven artists from across Australia who transform landscapes and seascapes into performance, painting and installation. Participating artists include Sharon Adamson, Maringka Baker, Mary Barton, Lottie Consalvo, Teelah George, Claudia Nicholson, Annika Romeyn. In looking to what is powerful and natural, these artists share an unbending will to work within the elements, traversing the terrain that will eventually inhabit the work.

These artists make work that is vibrant, personal and complex. Clothilde Bullen, Senior Curator of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Collections and Exhibitions at the MCA, will open the exhibition. See more details at the Goulburn Regional Gallery website here.
