Julian Day performance event with UTS Architecture students

August 8, 2018

Next Wednesday 8 August, Julian Day’s participatory sound project Super Critical Massreturns in collaboration with UTS ART Live and UTS Architecture. Day will be accompanied by 90 students, who together will investigate the potential of the university’s Frank Gehry-designed Business School to capture and transmit sound through its twisted and surprising form. Day’s practice merges sound, space and social relations in this ‘ongoing sonic arts project’ interested in the creation of ‘evolving sound fields’. The group creates compelling participatory experiences using public spaces and temporary communities brought together for the performances. Super Critical Mass begins at 3:15PM and will be followed by a panel discussion in the Moot Court Law Building 5B on the corner of Quay Street and Ultimo Road.
