Emma Fielden in Art Omi Artists Residency 2018 catalogue

Art Omi annually invites 30 artists from around the world, representing a wide diversity of artistic styles and practices, to gather in rural New York for four weeks each summer to experiment, collaborate and share ideas. Emma Fielden was selected as Australia’s representative for the residency this year and reflects on her experience as “life changing, inspiring and challenging in the best possible ways.”

Many of the works that will be on display in her upcoming show ‘between stars, between stones’ where created during this residency, where Emma says “I was able to push my practice in unexpected new directions and create artworks which I see as some of my strongest to date.”
