Elger Esser has been invited to hold a solo show titled ‘In short, I saw water, sun, clouds’ at the Musée de la Mer. Located in the Royal Fort on Sainte-Marguerite Island in the bay of Cannes, this maritime institution will host an exhibition of Esser’s lyrical landscape photography alongside their permanent collections specialising in underwater and terrestrial archaeology. Esser’s works are quiet, yellow-dipped landscapes that often represent seaside views, recalling the photographic and painterly techniques of the 19th century.
‘In short, I saw water, sun, clouds’ will open on 2 August 2020. You can read more HERE.
