CLEMENS KRAUSS Havana Biennial, Cuba

May 3, 2019

Clemens Krauss is currently featured in the 13th Havana Biennial, running from 12 April – 12 May 2019. Clemens brings his project ‘Transfer’ to the Biennial, a participatory performance piece that draws from his years studying psychoanalysis. This piece invites participants to book anonymous consultations with the artist, who is also an accredited psychologist. With this, the artist begins a conversation on the dynamics of power, anonymity and absence. Drawing from each of these sessions, Krauss is also creating a site-specific mural that will be carried out across the duration of the Biennial, applying paint in dense, sparse constellations that speak to psychological vulnerability.
